How to Perform This Exericse:

1) Start with your feet wider than shoulder width apart, with your hands clutching a barbell wider apart than your knees.  Your palms should be facing toward you.

2) Your back should be straight throughout the exercise as much as possible, parallel to the floor.  Keep your knees bent.

3) Begin by lifting the barbell from the floor to your chest, keeping control of the barbell throughout the motion.

4) Slowly bring the barbell back to the start position on the floor, attempting to minimally touch the ground between reps.

Your knees should at no time touch your chest, and they should be at a position outside your chest, underneath your armpits.
