Squatting Calf burnouts

Muscle Groups Worked:

Calves

How to Perform This Exericse:

1) Start on the tips of your toes, with your knees together in the bent over position.

2) One arm should hold your knees together, and the other arm should grip a sturdy position to hold during the exercise.

3) Without using your quads excessively, raise yourself up using your calves as high as you can go, and as low as you can go.  You should not be able to touch the heel of your foot to the ground.

Notes: This is a finishing exercise and should be used as a “burnout” after heavy calf exercises to increase the oxygen demand and blood flow to an area.
